Rough Start

Today I woke up early with my roommate and walked to the harbor to watch the sunrise and maybe see some wildlife. Nothing was stirring, but the sunrise was gorgeous. Sue is a photographer, so she took her tripod and a backpack full of lenses. She had no problem hauling everything over the rocks. I, on the other hand, was standing on the rocks, pulled off my glove and forgot that my camera was on my wrist. It went crashing to the rocks. Fortunately the camera was fine and the battery fell right by the camera. Unfortunately, the memory card went flying, so the wonderful pictures I was going to post are lost! I'll have to get up early again. Luckily I have a backup card although it's not as big. Maybe when we go into town I'll be able to buy another. I figure that will be my "bad thing" that happens to me on the trip, so it should be smooth sailing from here on! Here's the schedule for today:
9:00 breakfast
10:00 Introductory talk about Mammal Monitoring Science
12:30 lunch
13:30 Drive to Broad Cove for Field Sign Transect walk along the coast
17:00 Drive back to house
18:00 Dinner

Here's a question: What time are we eating dinner in standard time?

Ooh, so sorry to hear about the memory card! That's like me losing my mp3 player on the bus to Paris! It wasn't that big of a deal, but I was still annoyed with myself for not being more careful.
